China, Hunan Guanxi

Hailing from the soaring peaks of the Hunan province and scented with delicate white jasmine blossoms, oriental jasmine green is known as the oldest scented tea in China. Hunan borders a number of other tea-producing provinces, including Guangxi ‘the city of Chinese jasmine’ – where the jasmine flowers come from. Hunan’s subtropical climate is ideal for tea, the rich soil and small variations in temperature through the day produce a very fragrant and beautiful green tea. The process of ‘scenting’ the tea is particular and time consuming, taking anywhere from four to seven hour depending on the grade of the tea
